Causes of Bleeding Gastric Ulcers

An ulcer is a sore that occurs in the lining of the stomach. It is a form of ulcer is called an ulcer. Untreated ulcers cause internal bleeding, scarring and infection. Stomach ulcers and bleeding can occur with blood loss or bleeding decreases, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Bacteria

The most common cause of ulcers is infection with H. pylori bacteria. H. pylori is a bacteria that often live in the mucus layer in the stomach. This type of bacteria does not always lead to problems, but sometimes inflames the stomach, causing ulcers. If the bacterium is treated, the lining of the stomach remains precarious, and, finally, a bleeding ulcer.
     
Drug Abuse

Increase the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like aspirin, ibuprofen and naproxen do not always cause ulcers, but if I use it often can be the lining of the digestive tract lighting. If you already have an ulcer, the continued use of these drugs can cause bleeding.
     
Considerations

Ulcers caused by NSAIDs, are generally more likely to bleed than those caused by bacteria, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center.
     
Other causes

Some factors are not necessarily cause ulcers, but can aggravate existing ulcers and cause bleeding. These factors include stress, smoking, chewing and excessive amounts of alcohol.
     
Prevention / Solution


If you avoid an ulcer complications such as bleeding, avoid unnecessary use of NSAIDs and learn techniques for coping with stress.
