Separate Duodenal & a Gastric Ulcer

More than four million people in the United States suffer from unpleasant symptoms of an ulcer during the year. In fact, about 10 percent of the U.S. population with an ulcer at some point. The gastric and duodenal ulcers, open wounds, broken down into two main categories: gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastric ulcers occur in the stomach and intestinal ulcers occur in the upper gastrointestinal tract. Although both types of activities have different symptoms, there are clear differences between the two.
Common features
Although the gastric and duodenal ulcers are very different, they share some important characteristics. Stomach and duodenum are covered by layers of the mucosa. If correct, these membranes may protect the stomach and duodenum by the digestive juices and enzymes, food and beverages. The gastric and duodenal ulcers are usually caused by a bacterium called Helicobacter pylori, or H. pylori caused. H. pylori is often present without causing problems. Sometimes, however, caused a break in the mucosa of the duodenum and / or gastric ulcers and inflammation, in the end.
Gastric ulcer and Barrett's Esophagus?
10:40 PM
Ken Mark
Barrett's Esophagus is a condition whereby there is a change of the lining of the esophagus where it meets the stomach. This can been observed by the gastroenterologist when he/she scopes you, but can only be definitively diagnosed after pathologic examination of the cells (from biopsies that should have been taken). What is seen microscopically is a change in the normal type of cells in the esophagus to a type of cell seen more commonly in the stomach (sqamous cells become glandular/columnar cells).
Barrett's Esophagus is not cancer. It is not even pre-cancer (or carcinomat in-situ). It is a RISK FACTOR for developing esophageal cancer. Many sites that you read will overstate this risk. The risk of developing esophageal cancer for those with Barrett's Esophagus is estimated at 0.5% per year in any individual. (In the US, more recent studies have lead some to believe the risk is even lower than this, although it may be slightly higher in other countries.) The lifetime risk of developing esophageal cancer is very difficult to assess as I am not aware of any great long term data on this. Previously number around 20-25% lifetime risk were assumed, but now most suggest the risk is much lower than this. With routine surveillance, the hope is that in the few individuals who do develop cancer it will be found early and easily treated.
Despite all this scary talk of esophageal cancer, there are also some papers out there that note the mortality rates and life expectancies of individuals with Barrett's are no different than that of the general population.

What to Know About Gastric Ulcer

A growing number of people diagnosed with digestive disorders these days, many of which required hospitalization and continuous monitoring. Ulcer is a common digestive disorder that causes inflammation and Tara at certain levels of the digestive tract. Gastric ulcer is a break in the tissue around the stomach, duodenum, and there is a break in the tissue around the duodenum. Ulcers can also occur in the esophagus or other organs of the gastrointestinal tract.
The ulcer is caused by excessive secretion of hydrochloric acid and pepsin, which eventually leads to damage of surrounding tissue, to protect the stomach. The presence of a bacterium called Helicobacter pylori also contributes to the development of ulcers. In addition, the ulcer through the diversion of certain medications anti-inflammatory drugs ibuprofen, aspirin, or worse. In the past it was thought that emotional stress has also been a cause of ulcers. However, this theory by recent advances in medical research has been refuted. On the other hand, the physical effort the development of gastric ulcers (those who are sensitive to medical studies, forms of acquisition of gastric ulcers compared to normal).

How to Eat for Gastric Ulcers
10:22 PM
Ken Mark
The ulcer is caused by bad stomach. This degradation is the result of an imbalance between pepsin in the stomach, the stomach and defense. It is not uncommon for people to have stomach ulcers have no symptoms.
Food
It is strange that a gastrointestinal problem can full of food. This is not what you eat as a complete feed. Food is one of the city of stomach pains and relieves heartburn. But often, the stomach starts to hurt or burn, the pain disappears.
How to Eat
If you have a problem with an ulcer or acute (ie, only happened once) or chronic (ie, you always come first) are, the food is as important as what you eat. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, eating several small meals throughout the day. Make sure the plan is not consistent, such as eating meals at these times each day.

Hard to Cure Gastric Ulcer

Stomach ulcer, also known as gastric ulcer, is a serious disease that causes lesions in the stomach open. Ulcers usually affects people over 50 and has the highest incidence in women. Although there are many factors that can lead to the development of gastric ulcers, the condition is usually caused by poor blood circulation to the stomach and excess production of gastric juice is caused. Infection with the bacterium Helicobacter pylori is the main cause of stomach ulcers. These bacteria weaken the walls of the stomach, allowing stomach acid to cause inflammation and ulcers of the protective layer of the gastric mucosa. In addition, the bacterium Helicobacter pylori causes an overproduction of stomach acid, further progress in the ulcer.
Ulcers usually occur in the region of the posterior wall of the stomach near the pylorus. In the initial phase of the disease, the ulcer appears as a round lesion with a diameter of 1.2 cm. In the absence of adequate medical care, the ulcer can spread, creating a large hole in the wall of the stomach. This complication is a perforated ulcer and is considered a medical emergency. With internal bleeding, perforated ulcer accounts for thousands of deaths each year in the United States.
The progression of gastric ulcers do not follow an exact model. In some cases, the ulcer is slow progression and mild, barely noticeable symptoms, although sometimes the rapid progress of the ulcer was severe abdominal pain and constant burning. Latency occurs when the ulcer, doctors often very difficult to detect and diagnose disease. Ulcers are often long after they are serious about discovering what people vulnerable to diseases with a wide variety of life-threatening complications.
